North Montgomery County firefighters along with Cut and Shoot firefighters are on the scene of a house fire in the Royal Forest subdivision. The fire at 10554 Royal Terrel was reported to 911 at 8:55 a.m. When firefighters arrived they found a single story home totally involved. The homeowner said she was awake but her two children were asleep when she heard crackling.
The house is a total loss. Scott Burlin with the Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is on the scene investigating as firefighters continue to extinguish hot spots.
There were no injuries from the fire where the black smoke column was seen almost eight miles away.
