📝 𝐕𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬:
𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘, 𝐑𝐄𝐗 and 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄 were confiscated by police on 1/24/25 after it was reported they were in the backyard after a house fire and that their owner was in the hospital. According to the shelter plea above, their other owner passed away. There is also a 𝐅𝐎𝐔𝐑𝐓𝐇 𝐃𝐎𝐆, 𝐀𝟏𝟗𝟗𝟏𝟏𝟑𝟕, who was picked up with them but who no longer showing in the system. Please see the shelter plea above for more information!
These beautiful seniors have lost their home, their family and all that is familiar to them! 𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘 and 𝐑𝐄𝐗 had originally been surrendered by their owner on 2/8/19 and they were in foster care until they were adopted on 9/18/20. All four seniors are now displaced from their home and notes indicate that they seem frightened in the shelter environment as they have been trembling and cowering. 𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘 is able to be leashed with treats and baby talk and she will allow head pets! 𝐑𝐄𝐗 and 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄 are both unsure of the leash. All would benefit from a stable home where they can feel safe and where they are given the care and attention that they need! 𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘 and 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄 have been spayed and 𝐑𝐄𝐗 has been neutered.
𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘 is on the euthanasia list for “Medical (Geriatric, Multiple masses, greying on muzzle. Heartworms).”
𝐑𝐄𝐗 is on the euthanasia list for “Medical (Geriatric, worn teeth, mass on chest, high HW+) Behavior (Stressed in kennel. Was able to open divider and enter the kennel behind him with another dog. Heavily panting, yelping and barking. Flipping his bed and continues to try to open divider.).”
𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄 is on the euthanasia list for “Medical (Geriatric, Multiple masses, some sclerosis present in both eyes. Heartworms) Behavior (Does not walk on the leash. Needs to be muzzled and carried.).”
Their lives should not end in the shelter for those reasons. 𝐏𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐄 open up your heart and home to 𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘, 𝐑𝐄𝐗 or 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄!
Please foster so that a rescue can tag 𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘, 𝐑𝐄𝐗 and 𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐄 and please share this post to help save their precious lives before the deadline! Please also pledge, if you are able, using the link in this post, so that rescues have the funds they need to continue their important work.

𝐋𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐘:
1/24/2025 INTAKE: Dogs in back yard after house fire. Owner is in hospital.
1/25/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Very tensed in the back of the kennel in the corner, tail down, whale eyes, semi loose leash, went into kennel no issue, no interest in treats i tossed into kennel.
1/26/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Very tensed in back of kennel when approaching moving her head away as im leashing her, shes friendly, walks on a loose leash, placed in a run, tail down, went into kennel no issue
1/31/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel, Lily remains in bed with worried facial expression, tucked tail, and whaled eyes as I babytalk and slowly approach with treats. I slowly leash her afterwards and noticed that her walks are slightly disoriented as well as bumps into things (possibly due to her cataracts). After taking her out on a leash walk in the courtyard, I squatted down for a few minutes in which she slowly came to me as I pet her head. Throughout the whole interaction, she held a slightly tense body and low tail.

1/24/2025 INTAKE: Dogs in back yard after house fire. Owner is in hospital.
1/25/2024 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel he is very tensed in back of the kennel avoiding the leash, whale eyes, tail down, loose leash.
1/29/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Dog was a move adopt in the am, was already placed in the outside runs. When I approached dog was evassive and walking away from me.. I had to give dog sometime and finally he came towards me but still avoided the leash .I had to slowly place leash over dog and dropped it to where it looped him up. Once leashed he slowly walked out of run. Once we got to the doorway dog began to pull away and eventually started to thrash on the leash several times. I had to wait to prevent any further stress on the leash . Once he stopped I tried to toss in treats to try to lure dog into the doorway and went really slowly to prevent any tension on the leash. Finally was able to get him to follow me in. Had to do the same to get him into the kennel. PM- Noticed the divider was open and Rex was in the kennel with Dalila. I quickly leashed Rex up and he refused to come out but once he did he seemed timid and once we got back to his kennel he began to thrash on the leash again and pulling away refusing to go back into kennel. I had to wait on him to stop and once he did he followed me into the kennel but tried to come right back out. I unleashed and exited. Once I walked away I heard him scratched at the divider again so I had to use a leash to tie down the latch to prevent him from opening the divider again. I then left and came back to hearing the same thing and he began flipping his bed and yelping and barking . Dog is stressed oout and panting heavily with dilated pupils. Dog has previous notes but was never placed on Adopt Eval

1/30/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: At the back of the kennel avoiding the leash once i placed the leash she started pulling back, She slowly army crawl out the kennel.
1/31/2025 BEHAVIOR NOTE: Dog was against back wall of kennel with head down, I walked in to leash and she took a few steps forward but then layed down on the floor and did not want to walk. I muzzled and carried to the next kennel.
