Just after 11pm Saturday two black males his behind the dumpster of J and S Bar-B-Que, Jeff’s Kitchen restaurant in the 8300 block of Mesa Rd. The owner who is in his 70’s and has had the business since 1979 was about to get into his SUV on the side of the business. Just before he got in the males approached him, both armed and attempted to rob him. The owner was also armed and shot one suspect. The other dropped his weapon and fled the scene. The male who is in his early 20’s that was shot was transported to the hospital where he died. He had no identification on him.
