Houston Fire Department Regrets to Confirm Passing of Senior Captain

The Houston Fire Department regrets to confirm the passing of Senior Captain Thomas W. Dillion. Senior Captain Dillion was pronounced deceased at West Houston Medical Center Hospital, 12141 Richmond Avenue, after being transported from a cooking related apartment fire dispatched about 8:30 a.m. this morning, March 14, 2012, at 7520 Cook Rd. The fire was quickly tapped out and there was no direct fire involvement with his condition.

Senior Captain Dillion (DOB 3/25/1962) entered the department in June of 1989. Assigned to Station 69 since 1999, Dillion was riding as Senior Captain for Ladder 76 this morning. He has also served out of stations 21 and 28. Sr. Captain Dillion was promoted to Captain in 1998 and Senior Captain in 2002.

An ambulance will transport Senior Captain Dillion from the hospital to the Medical Examiner’s Office with a wall of honor and procession.
