Houston Fire Chief Terry Garrison has accepted the position of Fire Chief in his hometown of Glendale, Arizona. His new appointment begins November 2, 2015. His last day at work in Houston is October 31, 2015.
Chief Garrison was appointed as Fire Chief by Mayor Annise Parker in 2010. He recently completed is fifth year of service to the citizens of Houston on September 16th, of this year.
Chief Garrison says, “I have enjoyed my time here in Houston and will always remember the culture and embrace my family and I received in this vibrant city. The HFD is a robust organization with very capable members. Whoever my successor is, I am confident that they will continue to strive to provide the highest degree of customer service to the citizens of Houston, while providing for the safety of firefighters.”
