Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in northwest Harris County.
According to investigators, two of the three suspects entered the meat market at 15000 Timbercreek Place Lane at SH 6, around 5pm Saturday. When the two men exited the meat market, a Houston police officer approached the suspects.
Investigators say that’s when at least one of the suspects fired their gun. The officer also fired his weapon at the suspects. One of the suspects was injured but investigators would not comment on how it occurred.
“I don’t want to speculate how he (suspect) got injured,” Lt. Joe Ambriz with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said.
All three suspects were taken into custody.
A short time later officials identified two more individuals driving a red Dodge Challenger that were also involved. Those two were arrested also. The truck used in the robbery and another vehicle the group had were both stolen. One truck showed several bullet holes in the side window, windshield and drivers door.
The meat markets have been targets for the thieves lately as many cash checks for their customers.
