Four black males from Houston are now guests of Sheriff Henderson after an early morning robbery spree. At 5:36 am three of the males with gloves and masks walked into the Home2 Suites in Shenandoah. The suspects demanded money from a female clerks cash register and cash from the safe. One suspect was confirmed armed with a pistol. When the clerk could not open the safe, an armed suspect struck her in the head with a pistol. The clerk was injured but remained conscious and alert. The two other suspects searched the kiosk drawers and the personal items of two other female employees personal items, stealing the employee’s personal cash. There was also cash taken from the cash drawer. The clerk was transported to the hospital in stable condition. The suspects fled in a blue 4-door passenger car.
A short time later the Shipley’s at 5403 FM 1488 was robbed by the same males. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office responded to that call close to 6 am. The males were last seen fleeing on foot.
Not long after that Conroe Police were alerted to a robbery at the Hampton Inn at 2242 Stoneside near North Loop 336 and I-45. The same males again were responsible for that robbery.
At 7:05 am Sergeant M. Brockhoeft with Shenandoah Police Department spotted the suspect vehicle southbound on I-45 near Rayford Road. With the help of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, he stopped the vehicle.
All 4-males were detained for questioning.
At this time Wayne Earl Hunter, 17, of 17103 Imperial Valley in Houston has been booked into the Montgomery County Jail. He is charged with aggravated robbery a first-degree felony and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon a second-degree felony on the Shenandoah robbery. In addition, he is charged with aggravated robbery for the Hampton Inn robbery by Conroe Police. Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is charging him with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon for the Shipley robbery.
Damond Deshon Williams, 17, of 330 Remington Height Drive in Houston is charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon on the Shenandoah robbery. Aggravated robbery and aggravated assault on the Shipley robbery and aggravated robbery on the Hampton Inn robbery.
The other two suspects are juveniles. No other information is available.
