Tuesday night was the first time in almost 47 years of the Houston Rockets history that they have honored public safety officials during the half-time show. They say now it won’t be a last.
The Houston Rockets played the Phoenix Suns and when halftime came around several areas public safety officers took center stage on the court. Among them was Liberty County Precinct 6 Constable John Joslin; his Chief Deputy Larry Allen, and two of his Deputies- Rick Stewart and Mickey.  Montgomery County Precinct 4 Constable Rowdy Hayden and his Chief Deputy Barry Welch were also honored. From Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Rob Hickman and his Chief Deputy Sumner and DPS License and Weight Trooper Reynolds made the list, along with a Beaumont Police Officer, an FBI Agent, and Houston Fire Captain.
In addition to them being on the court, they watched the game from a suite, high atop Toyota Center.
