humble bank robbed

The FBI Bank Robbery Task Force needs your help identifying the man who threatened tellers during an Easter weekend bank robbery. He got away with the cash stuffed inside a black and green backpack he carried during the robbery. The robbery happened at the Compass Bank located at 7525 FM 1960 East in Humble, Texas, on March 30, 2013. Photographs of the “Backpack Bandit” are at the conclusion of this press release.

At about 9:52 a.m., the robber entered the bank and approached a teller while wearing his backpack. He pulled the backpack off his back and handed the teller a threatening note demanding cash. The teller complied and gave the man some cash, which the robber put inside the backpack. He left the bank running south across FM 1960. No one was physically hurt. A weapon was not seen during the robbery.

The bank robber was described as a black male, 24 to 27 years old, 5’8” tall, and weighing about 200 pounds. He wore black-rimmed glasses, a black baseball cap, and a black long-sleeved shirt with black jeans. He carried a black and green backpack during the robbery.
