Precinct 5 Constable David Hill held his 28th annual fundraiser today complete with a fried fish dinner. Today being the ninth anniversary of the World Trade Center Attack Hill honored the vets in attendance with a token coin and free meal.
Hundreds attended including many local officials. Judge Sadler, Bret Ligon Montgomery County District Attorney, Sheriff Tommy Gage, Constable Rowdy Hayden, Justice of the Peace Matt Masden and Commissioner Craig Doyle. Also in attendance Montgomery County Sheriff Lt. Dan Norris who is also running for Precinct 3 Constables Office which includes The Woodlands.
A long time friend of David Hill, Harris County Precinct 4 constable Dick Moore who was one of the longest serving Constables in Harris County. Constable Moore started in the mid 60’s and then returned to office in 1980 and continuing service until 2000. The precinct is now one of the largest in the nation in both personnel and population size.
Many items were donated for both silent auction and for the live auction including a deer stand, fish fryer and many other items.
As David Hill introduced some of the elected officials he told the crowd, “the rumor about me retiring or leaving is untrue, I plan to be your Constable as long as you will allow me”
David Hill has supported almost every activity in Precinct 5 from Magnolia ISD projects, to FFA, he also traveled with the World War II Veterans on The Lone Star Honor Flight earlir this year.
His department is responsible for the safety and security of the children of the Magnolia ISD school district. His deputies can be found in and around the schools daily.
