HUNTSVILLE POLICE BUST THREE ON ORGANIZED CRIME CHARGE

On January 31, 2024 Huntsville Police Officers initiated a traffic stop on I-45. Officers developed reason to believe the occupants were involved in criminal activity. K9 Kylon was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. As officers began to search the vehicle one of the males fled into the woods. Additional units responded from Huntsville Police, Walker County Sheriff, DPS, Crabbs Prairie Fire and TDC dogs from the Wynn Unit along with Constables Office. K9 Cooper was able to track the male into the woods and after approximately 15-minutes that suspect was in custody. In the vehicle officers found several thousands of dollars worth of fraudulently purchased merchandise, multiple fraudulent identifying documents, Cocaine, THC, and marijuana.

Arrested were Marcus Iordan, , who was charged with possession of a controlled substance, fail to id, evading arrest, resisting arrest, and fugitive from justice out of state.

Also arrested was Stefan Patrascanu, 27, who is charged with engaging in organized crime, fraudulent use or possession of identifying information, fail to id. He is also being held for ICE.With $90,000 in bonds.

Also arrested was Jesus Mendez, 42, who is being held on charges of two counts of engaging in organized criminal activity, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of marijuana. His bonds total $105,000.
