Several Huntsville Schools have just come off lockdown. This after reports of shots fired were heard near Huntsville Elementary.
According to Huntsville Police:
We are investigating a report of shots being heard in the area of Essex Blvd. There is a heavy police presence in the area. At this time there is no indication that the shots were heard at Huntsville Elementary School or Huntsville High School. However, we are deploying additional police resources to those schools and the surrounding area. Please be patient as we secure the area and investigate the issue.
