The Huntsville resident who suffered stab wounds during an aggravated assault Wednesday has been upgraded to stable condition by Houston Memorial Hospital.
Detectives with the Huntsville Police Department, with assistance from the Texas Rangers, are continuing the investigation and following up on several leads.
“On August 28, the Huntsville Police Department responded to a medical call in the 200 block of US 190 East,” HPD Lt. Jim Barns said. “Upon arrival, it was determined that a female victim had been stabbed.
“Additional HPD officers, as well as Huntsville-Walker County Emergency Medical Services, arrived on the scene, and the victim was flown by life-flight to Houston Memorial Hospital.
“As of Thursday morning, the victim’s condition had been upgraded to stable.”
