On Sunday, April 13, 2025, at approximately 10:05 PM, Herlinda Garcia was operating a maroon 2011 Chevrolet Tahoe southbound in the 16500 block of the North Freeway southbound feeder road. The Chevrolet entered the entrance ramp and as it attempted to change lanes into the outside lane of the main lanes, it struck an unidentified pedestrian, as he failed to yield the right of way to the Chevrolet. The pedestrian was found on the scene with no signs of life. It is undetermined at this time if the pedestrian was walking on the main lanes, with or against the flow of traffic, or if he attempted to cross the main lanes, from the east to the west or from the west to the east. This case remains open and under investigation by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division
