Tuesday morning at 1:22 am, Huntsville Fire and EMS responded to a reported major accident on I-45 northbound near mile marker 109 (Sam Houston Statue). Units arrived to find a 2012 Tundra fully involved in fire. Once the fire was extinguished, a lone driver was found deceased. According to DPS, an 18-wheeler, driven by Adrani Pena, 4,4 had stopped on the shoulder temporarily and then re-entered the freeway but was not yet up to highway speed when the Tundra ran into the rear of the trailer. The driver of the Tundra has been identified as Clay Tausworthe, 49, of Huntsville.
