9:20 p.m. I-45 northbound main lanes remain closed and three inside southbound main lanes remain closed in the College Park / Hwy 242 area, following two crashes earlier this evening.
First responders were dealing with a crash involving entrapment in the northbound main lanes just south of College Park / 242, and a Deputy’s patrol car was stopped on the southbound shoulder to assist. A woman driving alone at an estimated 80 miles per hour in the southbound HOV lane struck the patrol vehicle with the Deputy inside. The driver then spun into a second vehicle with one person inside. This resulted in the current freeway closure.
