Thursday night just after 11 pm a Schneider Transport 18-wheeler loaded with tile and building supplies was broken down on the northbound shoulder of I-45 just south of Park Road 40 near mile marker 109. He had his safety triangles in place. A northbound Averitt Transport loaded with machinery and some hazardous materials was also northbound. The driver for unknown reasons crossed the white fog line and slammed into the rear of the Schneider truck. The female Schneider driver was not injured. The Averitt driver was transported to the hospital. Miller Towing of Willis cleared the Schneider Truck. As of 8 am Adamicks Wrecker Service continues to work at cleaning the scene and removing the Averitt truck. I-45 northbound is down to 1 lane at that location.
