6:45pm-I-45 has reopened all lanes after an earlier crash dropped power lines across the freeway closing it in rush hour traffic. It all started when a single motor vehicle slammed into the power pole at Wellman Road and the I-45 southbound feeder. That crash caused the pole to snap and the wire to partially drop. An 18-wheeler container truck traveling southbound on the right lane of the freeway’s main lanes hit the lines and ripped them from the pole. Those lines fell across I-45. The occupants of the vehicle suffered minor injuries. Entergy arrived and removed the lines. Those lines will be replaced at a later date at night as the freeway will need to be closed to do so.
