INMATE REPORTED MISSING FROM JAIL WEDNESDAY NIGHT IS STILL MISSING

On December 12, 2018,just after 10 pm, due to a clerical error by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Jail Staff, Edward Dawayne Manning was released under the name of another inmate (Jeffery Manning) and has been at large since. Contact was made by cellphone with Edward Manning but he refused to surrender. He was originally arrested in East Montgomery County for charges of Assault Family Violence Strangulation (a felony crime) and was eligible for release with a $20,000 bond. Manning is described as a black male, DOB 9/17/88, has a goatee, 5-11″ to 6′, 180 pounds. He left the jail wearing a white long sleeve t-shirt and gray sweatpants. He resides in East Montgomery County but has ties to Houston.
