After 1am Conroe Police were dispatched to I-45 at FM 3083 to close the freeway. Reports came in that a powerline had fallen across the entire freeway and service roads. Traffic was diverted onto FM 3083 until Entergy crews were able to pull the line off the road.
TXDOT was dispatched to the scene for stop signs as the FM 3083 at IH-45 intersection was completely black.
Power crews worked through the night and at 3:40am power was restored. They will need to close the freeway at a later time to replace the downed line.
