Donald Leon Carson, 55, of 403 Longmire #260 in Conroe, was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on one count of intoxicated manslaughter with a vehicle and two counts of intoxicated assault with a vehicle causing serious bodily injury. On Sunday night, Carson was alone and traveling northbound in the HOV lane when he struck the rear of a Toyota Camry. That Camry was occupied by a mother and her two children, aged 3 and 5. The car burst into flames, critically burning the mother, injuring the 5-year-old, and killing the 3-year-old. Carson, who was driving a Honda Civic, suffered minor injuries.
