While en route to assist county units on a disturbance in progress call early Sunday morning a Splendoraa officer observed a male walking down SH 99. When the officer approached the male, he became combative and started fighting the officer. He was detained without further incident and placed in custody. Joseph Dewayne Lloyd, 37, of 20145 Elm in New Caney was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on charges of public intoxication, resisting arrest, failure to id, and assault on a public servant. His bond was set at $20,000.
