Just after 7 pm MCHD and DPS responded to a reported major accident with power lines down on FM 1485 near Jefferson Chemical. Reports also came in that power lines were down. Units arrived on the scene to find an intoxicated male was unable to negotiate the s-curves on FM 1485. He left the roadway in his Tacoma pickup, struck a utility pole breaking it off and flipping his vehicle. The driver was not injured but was arrested for DWI by DPS. FM 1485 remained closed for a short time as a guy wire was removed from the roadway and a wrecker was able to load the pickup.
