Houston police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at 13600 Ella Boulevard about 11:30 p.m. on Saturday (Dec. 26).
The male victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Thomas and Officer F. Flynn reported:
The victim was driving a white Dodge Ram pickup truck northbound on Ella at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his vehicle due to the rain and wet road conditions. The truck then left the roadway, drove onto a median and struck a tree, killing the driver.
There were no other vehicles or individuals involved in this incident. The investigation is continuing.
