Investigators Say Victim had 35 Stab Wounds

HARRIS COUNTY, TX— On Sunday, Deputies with Pct. 4 Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to a violent weapons disturbance report at the Fairfield Ranch Apartments, where they arrested a man.

Witnesses reported seeing a man stabbing a woman outside the apartment complex, located in the 20500 block of Cypresswood Drive, before dragging her into a unit.

Deputies arrived on scene and quickly located the stabbing victim inside the apartment. She had suffered 35 stab wounds to her neck, face, and arms. Medics transported her to a local hospital, where she remains in critical condition.

The suspect, 20-year-old Elijah Glenn, was detained without further incident at the scene. He was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Glenn is currently being held in the Harris County Jail, awaiting a bond hearing in the 176th District Court.

“This was a brutal and senseless act of violence. We’re thankful our deputies were able to intervene quickly and take the suspect into custody,” Constable Mark Herman said.
