Sunday morning Caney Creek Fire Department responded to a reported grass fire in the 14000 block of Cottonwood in the Grangerland area. When they arrived they found one large pile of tree debris with flames almost fifty feet in the air. The homeowner who stated it started small but got away from her had a garden hose. The garden hose however was not long enough to reach the fire.There was no property loss and the homeowner had raked leaves and debris from around the pile so it was not able to spread.
