The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with Porter Fire Department and the Montgomery County Hospital District for a Sharing is Caring Food Drive to benefiting Mission Northeast.
The official day is June 17, when they’ll be accepting donations in the parking lot of the original Kroger in Porter, located at FM 1314 and US 59, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Anyone wishing to donate items in advance may do so at the Montgomery County Annex (Sheriff’s Office) on the US 59 service road in New Caney, or the Porter Fire Department on Loop 494 in Porter.
Items needed:
Peanut butter and jelly, Mac & Cheese, Dry pasta, Beans and Rice (1 lb packages). Canned meat (tuna, chicken, spam, etc.) Canned pasta (Spaghetti-O’s, Ravioli, etc.) Canned peas, tomatoes, pasta sauce. Pop tarts and canned fruit, Toilet paper, toothpaste and toothbrushes, soap, deodorant, hand held can opener.
