Joint Agency Effort Results in Drug Arrest

The Liberty County Sheriff’s Office along with the Liberty Police Department have received numerous complaints in reference to narcotics being sold by a man identified as Donald Chambers from a residence located at 3814 Oilfield Road in South Liberty, Texas. Investigation showed that Chambers is currently on probation through Liberty County for narcotic violations from a 2013 arrest by the Liberty Police Department.

On Tuesday, January 5th, 2016 the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Interdiction Unit, the LCSO SWAT Unit in conjunction with the Liberty Police Department executed a narcotic search warrant at approximately 10:30pm on the residence. Upon making entry and securing the home, deputies and officers conducted a search and found Donald Chambers in possession of multiple firearms and ammunition throughout the residence.

Also deputies and officers recovered approximately 10.2 grams of suspected Xanax prescription tablets packaged for resale, approximately twenty-five (25) square shaped substances of suspected Crack Cocaine packaged for resale along with a stolen handgun from Ft. Bend County.

Donald Lewis Chambers, DOB 12-27-69 was arrested and charged with two (2) counts of Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance, one charge of Theft of a Firearm and a charge of a Felon in Possession of a Firearm..

A  second person identified as Lana Bernice Harmon, DOB 5-3-68 was arrested and charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both Donald Chambers and Lana Hermon were placed in the Liberty County jail.
