On Wednesday evening Chief Deputy Barry Welch spotted a vehicle parked in the back of Bull Salais Park after 10 pm. A unit responded to the scene. When the deputy approached and the driver opened the window a cloud of smoke rolled out. The deputy detained William Medina and a female occupant in the vehicle. In the vehicle, he found a baggie of marijuana and a loaded pistol. Medina was arrested for possession of marijuana and unlawful possession of a firearm. The female who was in an altered state to the point she couldn’t stand was transported to Kingwood Hospital by MCHD for evaluation.
