Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables and Texas Parks and Wildlife remain on the lake all weekend. On Saturday several were removed from the lake for boating while intoxicated. Just before 9pm Precinct 1 Deputies arrested Charles Christopher Carpenter, 50, of 55 Lakeview Village in Montgomery after he was found to be operating a boat while intoxicated on Lake Conroe near the FM 1097 bridge.
Not long after that Kieth Preston Blum, 54, of 29302 Huntswood Trail in Katy was arrested by Texas Parks and Wildlife for boating while intoxicated. He was transported to the Montgomery County Jail.
Just before 10 pm, Game Wardens with the Texas Parks and Wildlife arrested James Rodney Lundy Jr., 42, of 6307 Moccasin Bend in Spring after he was found to be intoxicated. He is charged with boating while intoxicated third or more. He is being held on a $6000 bond. Lundy was first arrested in Deer Park on January 7, 2008, for DWI. He was given 4-days in the Harris County Jail and a $500 fine. He was again arrested in Deer Park on February 3, 2020, for DWI. In that case, a Harris County Judge sentenced him to 180 days in the Harris County Jail but suspended that and put him on probation for one year.
Just after 11 pm Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens arrested Brent Alvin Basham, 52, of 820 Shawnee Drive in Montgomery after he was found operating a boat while intoxicated. Basham is charged with boating while intoxicated third or more. Basham was first convicted in Montgomery County on April 12, 1990, for DWI. Then in April of 2006, he was again arrested and convicted of DWI in North Carolina. In October 2010 he was again arrested in Montgomery County for DWI third or more and on April 21, 2011, he was fined $1000 and sentenced to 10 days in the Montgomery County Jail and 4 years probation.
On Sunday evening Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constables arrested Caleb Jordan McKinney, 32, of 2900 West Dallas Street in Houston for boating while intoxicated.
Also arrested by Texas Parks and Wildlife Game Wardens was John Christopher Phenicie, of 7 Oak Walk in Missouri City, Texas. He was charged with boating while intoxicated.
