The Liberty County Sheriff Department’s Criminal Interdiction Unit and the Sheriff’s Special Response Team executed a Narcotic search warrant issued out of Judge Mark Morefield’s District Court for a residence located at 1011 Sante Fe, Street, Cleveland, Texas on July 29 at 4:30 p.m.
Upon gaining entry to the residence, deputies took Cedrick Jerome Bass, 41, Sterling Davison Jr., 44, Dante Rushing, 32, and 34-year-old Troy Lynn Davis into custody and a complete search of the residence was conducted. All suspects have Cleveland addresses.
It appeared that LCSO Deputies entered the residence just as all four suspects were packaging narcotics at the kitchen table. Deputies recovered approximately 1.6 pounds of Crack Cocaine throughout the residence that was packaged for street sales, approximately 14.5 pounds of Marijuana and a large amount of “Soma” and “Hydrocodone” prescription tablets packaged for resale.
During the search of the residence, Deputies recovered information of a safety deposit box located at a bank in Humble, Texas issued to one of the arrested suspects, Cedrick Bass. A search warrant was applied for in Harris County and the safety deposit box was found to contain approximately $86,799.00 in US currency that is believed to be drug proceeds.
Cedric Bass is currently on Parole through Montgomery County for Possession of Controlled Substance and has served time for the distribution of crack cocaine.
Dante Rushing is currently on Parole through Liberty County for the Possession of Controlled Substance, Crack Cocaine
Troy Davis is currently a registered sex offender.
All four suspects were charged with Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana. Each charge of Controlled Substance has a $250K bond while the Marijuana charge has a $50K bond on each arrested suspects. At the present time, Bass, Davison, Rushing and Davis are in the Liberty County Jail.
