On Thursday, March 14, 2019, at approximately 1932 hours a Liberty County Sheriff’s Office Interdiction deputy conducted a traffic stop on Hwy-321 on a gray 4-door Ford passenger. As the deputy approached the passenger side of the vehicle he could smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. The driver was identified as Gibril L. Kasiwa, B/M, DOB:01/01/1999.
Kasiwa showed the deputy that he had a partially burnt marijuana cigarette.
A search of the vehicle was made. A box was located that contained one hundred eighteen (118) Tramadol Hydrochloride tablets, marijuana and THC “wax”. Gibril L. Kasiwa was arrested and charged with:
1. Possession of a Controlled Substance – Felony 2
2. Possession of Dangerous Drugs – Class A Misdemeanor
3. Possession of Marijuana-Class B Misdemeanor
The defendant was transported to the Liberty County Jail without incident.
