LIBERTY COUNTY SHUTS DRUG OPERATION DOWN

Two separate drug arrest operations on two consecutive days this week by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department resulted in the arrest of three (3) people and ceased their sales of illegal drugs.

On Monday, January 13th. at approximately 4:30pm, Dennis Carl Trahan (WM) 51 who lives on CR 175 in the Raywood area of East Liberty County was arrested at his home by LCSO Criminal Interdiction Unit and charged with Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

A second man, Blake Wickliff (WM) 23, who was found standing in the front yard of this residence was arrested on outstanding traffic warrants.

Acting on information received earlier by the Interdiction unit from numerous citizens who had called in complaints for a place they called “The Spot”, Deputies went to the location and found the residence with doors open and drugs visible and in plain sight. Recovered from the scene and packaged for resale was cocaine, crack cocaine, methamphetamine and other assorted type of illegal narcotics. Also recovered was a shotgun and a hand gun.

Both Trahan and Wickliff was placed in the Liberty County jail with a 100K bond put on Dennis Trahan who freely admitted to arresting Deputies that he was, in fact, selling the drugs.

The following day, on Tuesday, January 14th. the Liberty County Sheriff Department’s SWAT Deputies executed a search warrant out of 75th. District Court, Judge Mark Morefield’s court which resulted in the arrest of Bakari Abdul Brown (WM) 36 aka “Re Re”. Recovered from Brown’s residence on CR 3189, just South of Cleveland, Texas, was cocaine as well as a 25 caliber automatic pistol reported as stolen by the Cleveland Police Department.

Bakari Brown, who is already on parole for drug charges, was also charged with Manufacturing and Delivery of a Controlled Substance and theft of a firearm.

Brown was placed in the Liberty County jail and has a bond set at 160K.

    May I ask !!? what does the (WM) designate ?? both are listed as such ,,,.
