Approximately 12:30 pm Monday an Oak Ridge Police Officer on patrol spotted a stolen Chevrolet Impala on the I-45 feeder near Research. When he attempted to stop him the vehicle got on the freeway northbound an took the fly-over to College Park. The driver then turned into the Lone Star College Campus and drove to the Music Hall where three black males jumped out and fled into the woods on foot. Multiple agencies including MCSO, DPS, Precinct 3 Constables and Shenandoah set a perimeter. A DPS helicopter responded. Lone Star College went on lock-down. A short time later the males were seen running into the Walmart store. Police surrounded the store and multiple officers along with Walmart security searched the entire store. The males were seen twice, once in the garden center and again near automotive but then vanished again. After just over an hour the search was called off and the lock-down ended. One female on the campus suffered minor damage to her vehicle as the fleeing suspects struck her wheel.
