Long Time Brady District Director to Devote Future to Ministry

Sarah Stephens leaves to join Celebration Church of The Woodlands

U.S. Congressman Kevin Brady of Texas announced that Sarah Stephens will leave her position as district director on April 1 to accept the director of ministries position with Celebration Church of The Woodlands. Stephens has served on Rep. Brady’s staff for a decade, first in Washington as his press secretary and since 2007 as district director for his three Texas offices.

"Sarah has served with great distinction,” said Brady. “Her talent in leading staff and working within the community has been an incredible asset to the people of the 8th District. Her solid advice has been indispensable to fighting for our region’s interests.”

"I’m thrilled, though, that she is following her spiritual heart and will continue to play an important role in our region in her new capacity. The church and our community will surely benefit from Sarah’s commitment, dedication, talent and personal integrity,” added Brady.

New Hires

Todd Stephens named District Director; Russell Martinez named Deputy Director

Congressman Brady is naming Todd Stephens, his director of regional issues, to district director. Stephens has served in key capacities in both state and federal legislative arenas and for the last several years has managed FEMA and hurricane relief, appropriations, water, transportation, and local development legislation for Congressman Brady.

“Todd brings a tremendous amount of community and policy knowledge to the table. He’ll ensure that our district operations continue to be laser focused and aggressively aimed at ensuring the voices of our communities are heard in Washington,” said Brady.

Joining Brady’s staff as deputy director is Russell Martinez of Huntsville, a former technology manager at the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, long time chairman of the Walker County GOP and a current elected representative of the Texas State Republican Executive Committee.

“Russell knows this region well and he understands how communities work at the local level. His energy and grass roots service will be a benefit to our constituents,” said Brady.
