LUCKY TO BE ALIVE!!

Just after 4 am Monday, a suspected impaired driver, driving a Honda CR-V, was southbound on I-69 north of Fostoria and all over the road. He slammed into a GMC pickup truck, causing the GMC to go up against the center wall and flip onto its roof. A good Samaritan, driving a Chevrolet 2500 pickup, which he took delivery of last Friday, and as a company truck, had just finished putting tools into it stopped to help. Seconds after he was able to get the driver out of the GMC pickup, a Dodge Charger slammed into the Chevrolet pickup. After the impact, the Charger spun and struck the GMC truck,k which was on its roof. The impact flipped the GMC back onto its wheels. The good Samaritan and the GMC driver had just enough time to jump over the center wall for protection. The driver of the GMC was the only one transported to the hospital with minor injuries. The suspected impaired driver was detained by DPS, who investigated the crash. LCSO and Splendora Police assisted with traffic control, as did the Cleveland Fire Department. The freeway was closed for almost 3 hours.
