Zachary Matthew Escobar, a Magnolia High School senior, met his Lord and Savior at age 17 on December 29, 2015.
Zachary is survived by his parents, Candace Lynn Escobar & Filo Elijah Escobar; brother, Caleb Elijah Escobar; grandparents, John & Cynthia Easter and Filo & Adela Escobar; aunts & uncles, Stephen Dunn, John Easter, Wes & Melinda Yarbrough, Clay & Brandy Smith, Richard & Tiffany McCrea, Matthew & Jackie Easter, and Joanna & Joel Guest; cousins, Isaac and Stephen Dunn, Hunter and Camryn Yarbrough, Hailey and Clayton Smith, Taylor and Brayden McCrea, Jovial, Jonah, and Jorah Guest; and numerous relatives and friends.
Zachary was a gentle and sweet soul; a true gentle giant. His size would have been intimidating except, when he walked up to you, his smile & sweet spirit just put you at ease. Zach was a special one-of-a-kind young man who was an avid sports fan with baseball as the love of his life. He loved being around his family & friends and made an everlasting impression of what a teenage boy should be. Our hope in Christ Jesus and the eternal promise of a coming reunion is our strength to bear this unbelievable loss. Our angel is now in heaven.
Pastor James Polnick will officiate. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Logan Allen, Darius Anderson, Tessylim Anifowoshe, Michael Bottego, Kyle Boudreaux, Dominic Cox, Jaxx Groshans, Jordan Groshans, Jake Van Howten, Cameron Long, Cole McGowan, Mikial Onu, Cameron Salvaggio, Spencer Nigh, Blake Whichard, and Hunter Yarbrough. In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that you consider donating to the Zach Escobar Memorial Scholarship Fund at GiveForward.com.
