Just after 8:30 tonight Magnolia Fire Department was dispatched to the dead end of Country Oak Court off Honea Egypt for a water rescue. In addition to the engine and ladder truck the booster responded with a watercraft.
When crews arrived on the scene they determined the watercraft would not be necessary for the dry creek bed.
A homeowner who was walking on the back of his property slipped down approximately 20 foot bank into the dry creek bed of Stone Branch.Crews with the fire department were able to get him out and to a waiting ambulance where he was treated for cuts, scrapes and bruises and transported to the hospital.
The entire operation took approximately 1 hour.
