The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office is still investigating the cause of the blaze of a garage fire at Towering Oaks and Lonesome Pine. Just after midnight Magnolia Fire Department responded to the fire and arrived to find heavy fire conditions . The owner was found to have burns over 80% of his body. He was flown to Hermann Hospital by Air Medical in critical condition.
UPDATE
The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office Investigators have determined the man in his 40’s was working on a vehicle in a closed garage. They believe fuel vapor was sparked by possibly welding equipment. They have not been able to speak with the victim who remainds in the Hermann Hospital Burn Unit in critical condition.
