Magnolia Police Say They Had to Arrest BOTH!

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX- A Magnolia traffic stop went sideways fast last Saturday night. Magnolia Police initiated the stop on Buddy Riley Blvd. near Melton Street, where they say the driver appeared intoxicated but refused to step out of the vehicle. Ultimately, Officers removed 24-year-old Luis Rodrigo Solorzano Bernal from behind the wheel and detained him, which is standard if someone appears intoxicated and refuses to cooperate with law enforcement.

Police say the incident didn’t end once the driver was in their car, because he had a woman in the passenger seat who allegedly became aggressive when they detained Solorzano Bernal. They say the passenger, 20-year-old Maria Alexandria Serrano, kicked more than one MPD Officer, earning her own charges.

Luis Rodrigo Solorzano Bernal of Spring is charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Interfering with Public Duties. Both infractions are misdemeanors.

Maria Alexandria Serrano, of The Woodlands, is charged with third-degree felony Assault on a Public Servant / Police Officer. Her bond was set at $15,000.

Both were transported and booked into the Montgomery County Jail in Conroe and each has since been released on bond.
