At 3:30 PM Sunday afternoon The Woodlands Fire Department and Montgomery County Hospital District were dispatched to a fall on the roof of Hermann Memorial The Woodlands Hospital. When firefighters arrived they were directed to the roof over the main entrance to the hospital. Once on the roof, they found that a maintenance worker had fallen approximately 20 feet from one roof to a lower roof with limited access. The Woodlands Fire Department rescue team was added to the call to assist. Firefighters utilized a ladder truck, multiple ground ladders, and several rigging systems to raise the patient up to the original roof and then lower him down to the ground whereupon he was taken to the ER for treatment.
