Two teenagers are very lucky this afternoon after a head-on crash at FM 3083 and FM 1485 in Grangerland just after 1:30 pm. Sixteen year-old Brenda McCluskey and her sister Courtney had just pulled out of the Shell station at the intersection and were traveling south on FM 3083. She attempted to turn left onto FM 1485 heading toward Caney Creek High School when she was struck head-on by a one ton Chevrolet truck driven by Rick Brady.
The KIA only several days old suffered extensive front end damage but both girls, both wearing their seatbelts escaped with little more than seat belt burns.Both were transported to St. Lukes Hospital in stable condition by MCHD.
Mr. Brady was also transported with not life threatening injuries.
Caney Creek firefighters responded to the scene to assist the medics with the three patients.
Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted DPS with traffic control at the intersection.
