MAJOR ROADS IN NORTH COUNTY CLOSED AFTER OIL SPILL

830PM-FM 1484 is closed from Willis Waukegan to Saltys, in addition, Rose Road is closed. This is due to a tanker dumping a large amount of oil. Commissioner Walker and his crew are currently on Rose Road. TXDOT is working on FM 1484 on clean up which is expected to take several hours.  Reports are the spill goes for almost 13 miles and the spill continues down Willis Waukegan to FM 1485 and FM 1485 to FM 3083 then south to SH 242.  Crews are checking that now. Use extreme caution. Also if anyone witnessed this truck call Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.
