Marc Pourner , 27, was reported leaving a home on Cypresswood Drive on Wednesday evening. He then went to a location in Conroe where sometime on Thursday he and another man got into an altercation in the Conroe area. That man reportedly abducted Pourner, and that was the last that was seen of him. Late Saturday afternoon Montgomery County became involved in the investigation. Through leads they got information that Pourner’s body may be near Caney Creek near the intersection of Firetower Road and FM 1485. Officials responded to that scene and after a search found a Chevrolet Sonoma pickup with the license plate matching that of Pourner. completely burned almost one thousand feet from the road. As they investigated that, they cam across Marc Pourner’s body.
Detectives spent all Saturday night at the scene processing evidence. Milstead Wrecker was dispatched to the scene along with their mud recovery vehicle. A wrecker designed to go off road to retrieve vehicles. After several hours the vehicle was removed. Montgomery County Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace James Metts arrived on the scene to perform an inquest. He ordered Eickenhorst Funeral Directors to transport the body to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for autopsy.
