On Thursday, September 12, 2024, Conroe Fire Marshals have arrested Kyle Raymond Lawrence, age 33 on a charge of arson. Back in August, Lawrence who is described by Conroe Police is a vagrant. He was staying in a building at 300 East Dallas. He did not own the property. While there he claimed he lit a candle for lighting. He then left the location to go several blocks to find an electrical outlet to charge his vape. When he returned the structure was on fire. Investigators found no sign of a candle where Lawrence stated he placed it. The Fire Marshal determined that he ignited the fire burning the air freshener, clothing and the wall of the structure. Lawrence is now being held on a $50,000 bond.
