A 22-year-old man died in what authorities call a “tragic accident” at a warehouse construction site near I-45 in Spring.
The industrial accident happened shortly after 10 a.m. Wednesday. Authorities from the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office were called to investigate.
The 22-year-old Hispanic man, whose name has not been publicly released, was found unresponsive inside a drilling hole. His grandfather was operating the drilling equipment at the time. It’s not clear how the younger man wound up inside the hole.
Spring Fire’s Rescue Team, assisted by firefighters from Spring and The Woodlands, worked to shored up the collapsed hole so they could recover the worker’s body.
