Just after 9 am a motorist driving down County Line Road in North Montgomery County crossed over the Caney Creek bridge. As he did he spotted a body floating in the water about 50-yards from the bridge. A Honda passenger car was partially submerged next to the bridge. He immediately called 911. NMC Fire responded to the scene. As firefighters entered the water another crew set up the ladder truck to retrieve the victim once he was brought back to the bridge. Firefighters were able to get the male into a stokes basket and bring him back to the bank. He was transported to Conroe Regional with hypothermia and some minor injuries. According to DPS, it is believed the driver was westbound on County Line when he went off the north side of the road. He then overcorrected and crossed to the south side of the road. Traveling though the grass and off the step bank where he launched to the other side of the creek. It is believed he crawled out on his own. It is believed he was in the water at least 3-hours but possibly as long as 8-hours. Several crosses line that section of roadway from previous crashes.
