MAN INVOLVED IN BABY EJECTION REMAINS IN POLK COUNTY

James William Hammons Jr., who fled the scene of a crash in which his infant child was ejected from the vehicle, was booked into the Polk County Jail just after midnight and is awaiting transport to Montgomery County. Currently, Polk County is holding Hammons for Abandon Endanger Child Criminal Negligence ( a $100,000 bond), Accident Involving Injury (a $50,000 bond) and Driving While Intoxicated with Child Under 15 Years of Age (a $50,000 bond).
