Just after 10:30 pm Liberty County Dispatchers got a report from a passerby of a man lying in his front yard at 209 County Road 2279 in Cleveland. Units from Tarkington and Liberty County were dispatched. A second call then came in with a report of a male shot in the back of the head and lying in the front yard unresponsive. Liberty County EMs and Tarkington Fire arrived on the scene to find a make in his front yard and had been shot in the back of the head. Air Medical was dispatched to the scene. PHI Air Medical met the ambulance at Tarkington High School and flew the male who was in very critical condition to the Medical Center. Liberty County Deputies detained a female on the scene and bagged her hands. Detectives from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office are on the scene investigating the shooting.
