Just after midnight a driver was westbound on Katy Freeway near Taylor when his vehicle caught fire. He didn’t even bother pulling to the side, but left it partially in the entrance ramp to the freeway. He then walked away from it not even calling the fire department. A DPS Trooper stopped and attempted to use a fire extinguisher but the flames were to extensive. Another male who saw the man walk away provided the description of the black male driver. Police found him about 30 minutes later on the feeder near Height Blvd. He was detained for questioning.
